How to Become a Ninja : Grappling Moves in Ninjutsu

On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Anthony
Lucas of the Bujinkan Koteki Dojo in New York City. Today, I’m going to show beginning techniques
of Ninjitsu. Okay, the third technique from the Khion Hai Poa of the striking portion
is Hicho Nokara. So Hicho Nokara…So, Mara is going to come at it again like Ndoko, she’s
going to do an upper cut. So from this upper cut, I am going to be what they call as something
you see in other martial arts, it’s like “the bird”. So this is called Hicho Nokamaya. So,
if Mara comes with the strike, and I will step out, do a low block, kick her ribs, step
in, an shoot toward her neck, and come back to Kamaya. Hicho Nokamaya. So how it looks
again: I’m in Kamaya, Mara comes, I step out–bird, strike, come in, and strike her neck. And,
end it at that. So in real time, what it’ll look like, first off, Mara will come. I will
just come, step here, kick, and come out from the side and strike. And more or less, that
will cover that as “the bird”…okay. The next one again: So she comes. I will step
here, kick, strike, and sort of, like, not let her fall. So as I do this, I will just
come in with the lock and she’ll fall.
